Our sexual and reproductive health services have a long-standing reputation for excellence. Mortimer Market Centre and Archway Sexual Health Clinic provide fast and flexible STI testing and treatment, alongside nationally acclaimed HIV services. Equally well-respected are our contraceptive and reproductive health clinics based at the Margaret Pyke Centre in Central London and in health centres in Brent, Camden and Islington. Referrals to these services are received from GPs and consultants across the UK.
Community nursing remains a high priority and our nursing staff are familiar and friendly faces in the neighbourhood. Young people are supported by our school nursing and health visiting teams whilst adults, particularly those with long-term conditions, receive regular nursing care from our district nurses and community matrons.
For more complex needs, we offer inpatient rehabilitation services at St Pancras Hospital, specialising in treating those recovering from conditions such as stroke, fractures and falls and those with continuing care needs. Staff here work closely with REACH, our community rehabilitation and falls service, to help people return safely to their own homes and also working with them to minimise risks which might lead to hospital admission in the future
Our palliative care inpatient service at UCLH provides care for patients with advanced and life-threatening illness. Consultants work alongside GPs, community matrons and social services to ensure that patients live as comfortably as possible with their illness, and that they receive care in the place of their choice until the end of their lives.
All our services are supported by a range of therapists including psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and physiotherapists. We also work closely with colleagues from social services to ensure health and social care is carefully coordinated on behalf of patients.
We also have a number of independent therapy clinics which include:
