Equality and Diversity

Camden Provider Services is committed to principles of equality and fairness. It recognises that inequalities in health and in the workplace may exist related to race, disability, gender, sexual orientation, age and religion/belief.

Tackling this health inequality means acknowledging our populations’ rich diversity and recognising that people have different health needs that may need addressing in a personalised way.

Camden Provider Services aims at being both a responsive provider of healthcare services and a progressive employer. Our commitment to tackling health inequality means that we focus on treating patients and users of our services as well as our staff with dignity and respect. The key drivers for developing the equality and human rights agenda in CPS are:

  • Helping to achieve our goal of narrowing the gap in health outcomes, reducing health inequalities, improving access to services, delivering services that are fair, personal and responsive and securing sustained improvements in patient experience

  • Ensuring that we meet the increasingly complex statutory duties that arise from equality related legislation and directives

  • Meeting the inspection requirements of the Care Quality Commission in relation to equality and human rights.
