We provide interpreting and translation services to NHS services as well as external clients. Setting up an account with us is easy, booking an interpreter or translator with us will only take a few minutes. Our team will provide you with all the information you need to get started.

How to book an interpreter

  • Via our online booking system. Please contact us by phone or email to set up your online booking account and password
  • By email. Please complete our email booking form and email to: interpretingservice@nhs.net
  • By fax. Please complete our fax booking form and fax to:020 3317 2940.

How to book a translation

  • Simply email your document to: interpretingservice@nhs.net
  • Tell us the language you need and your deadline
  • We send you back your translation by the due date

 

Language Support Service

Our language support service is available in Bengali and bridges the gap between minority ethnic communities and health services. The language support workers hold sessions, primarily based at GP surgeries, during which they interpret for healthcare professionals and patients. They can also give users advice and information to help them access health services and can work with users independently of health professionals.

Language Support Workers can provide information on:

  • GPs, dentists and opticians
  • Medical conditions
  • Services provided by the local authority
  • English classes
  • Healthy living classes (e.g. stop smoking sessions, exercise)

How to book a British Sign Language Interpreter

Individuals requiring communication support as a patient, carer or parent should request an interpreter from their healthcare professional when booking an appointment or contact RAD directly. Please try to give at least two working days’ notice.
