Research Unit
The Research and Development Unit at Camden Provider Services, delivers specialist support for research and development projects across north-central London.
The unit's remit is to ensure that high quality research, which will make a real impact on patient care, is successful in securing funding and is supported through to completion. Research areas include mental health, sexual health and primary care.
Services offered include:
- managing the research governance process on behalf of Trusts
- advising researchers on funding opportunities
- assisting in the accurate costing of research projects
- ensuring research activity is aligned with service priorities
- helping researchers develop their skills
- sharing good practice and maximising intelligence about research
- managing commercially sponsored clinical trials within the Trusts
The R&D unit is a partnership between the following NHS trusts:
- Primary Care Trusts: Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield, Haringey
- Foundation Trusts: Camden and Islington Foundation Trust
- Mental Health Trusts: Barnet, Enfield and Haringey
